I found some leather scraps from an old project and it was large enough to make a no sew medicine bag. I have always liked Native American style art. Sometimes I make replicas of Indian artifacts with my own spin off just for fun. The problem is leather can get very expensive, especially if you try to buy large pieces in the craft stores. Braiding leather out of a single piece is pretty easy as long as you remember 2 things. Work in sets of three, and keep track of what side you started with in each set. One of my favorite things to do is hit the local yard sales. I am a firm believer in one person’s trash is another person’s treasure. I can always find good stuff to recycle into my craft projects like material, or an old leather coat that can be cut up for scraps.
