Have you ever wondered what to do with all the Christmas cards and extra wrapping paper that gets saved over the years? I have the perfect project to recycle those cards into nice ornaments, hangers, and name tags. All great stuff to decorate for the holidays. Now instead of boxing all those cards forever you can make something nice for your decorations! And who doesn’t love decorations?
Supplies…
- used Christmas cards
- small cup or compass
- gift wrapping paper
- scissors
- glue
- pen
- ribbon (optional)
- glitter (optional)
Just choose the focal point of the card you want and use a cup or compass to cut it out. You can use different sizes or whatever you want. Its YOUR creation!
For a hanger or table mat, take some wrapping paper and lay face down on a table. Arrange your circles overlapping the edges, then start gluing down. You could do snowman or Christmas tree shapes, I focused on cartoon characters for mine.
An idea i had for my christmas card crafts is a tree ornament. Take two similar cut-outs, use a hole punch and a little ribbon to tie a bow. I put little bit of glitter glue around the edges to make it stand out.
